Carovigno, or rather the "city of nzegna", so called because during the Easter period there is the tradition of "Nzegna", which features 2 flag-wavers who wave the flags.
Many people come from every country to follow this exciting tradition.
Carovigno stands on a hill, at the top there is the imposing Dentice di Frasso Castle which dates back to the 12th century. It is a destination for many tourists enchanted by its majesty.
It appears suddenly coming from the highway that runs along the sea. And it surprises every time.
The "White City" is perched on three hills: the strong light of the sun reflecting on the smooth chianche, surrounded by the crown of olive trees. In an instant the scent of fig leaves and toasted almonds, the flavor of stracciatella and sea urchins and good oil return.
Suspended between the southern Murgia and the upper Salento, Ostuni, candidate for the title of "Italian Capital of Culture 2018," offers the best of Puglia.
Certainly the most evocative and magical town in the region, where tourists can admire the beauty of the trulli.
Alberobello is in fact the "Capital of Trulli", and the historic center is declared a national monument. Entering the various pedestrian paths, you will discover the kingdom of typical buildings, with their gray stone dome and perfectly whitewashed façade.
The dome is made up of "chiancarelle", a type of brick that has been used for over a millennium. At the top of the dome stands a stone pinnacle holding a marble ball.
Located on the Adriatic coast of upper Salento, not far from Carovigno and San Vito dei Normanni, the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area extends over an 8 kilometer stretch of coast between Punta Penna Grossa and the rocks of Apani.
The landscape of the reserve is characterized by coastal dunes, with some stretches of gray dunes. The coast is linear and consists of a clayey cliff. Continuing towards Punta Penna Grossa, however, the coast is low and sandy. Furthermore, the Torre Guaceto beach is accessible to disabled people via a platform.
Lecce is the capital of Lower Salento.

The Zoosafari is the largest wildlife park in Italy, and boasts over 200 different species. It extends over an area of over 140 hours of land, mostly Mediterranean scrub.
